Megan Wins Junior Camel Week

Well done to Megan for winning Junior Camel Week at Rock Sailing and Water Ski Club this week. Megan won 4 out of the 5 races held over 4 days of racing to win the Hendraburnick Cup. The cup is named after the village at the source of the river Cam that runs into the Camel Estuary at Padstow / Rock. As Hendraburnick is the source of the Cam, so Junior Camel Week is the source of great sailing talent! Sister Millie ran up against some of the Southern Topper Squad sailors but sill posted a creditable 7th place overall to win some fashionable sunglasses. The 34 strong fleet ranged from novice through to squad and national sailors with some great competition on the water mixed with holiday fun on the beach. The event is run annually and is a great little regatta for any K2O sailors looking for a fun competition to start their Open meeting career.
