Overview
This course develops the skills needed to sail around a course and understand the basic principles needed to become a confident sailor. The course teaches children to sail confidently on more points of sail and improves manoeuvring skills.
Led by our experienced RYA instructors, children will be coached to build on their skills developed in stage 1, improving their tacking and gybing to confidently control the boat in a safe environment for children to have fun, learn and challenge themselves.
By the end of the course, children will be able to tack, gybe and sail the boat on all points of sail under supervision in light wind conditions.
What you will learn
- Improved sailing skills on all points of sail
- Tacking and Gybing manoeuvres
- Theory including ropework and collision avoidance

Must be worn - you may wear your own if you have one, but Buoyancy aids can be provided for the course if required |

Clothing: |
The training will be mostly on the water, and you should be prepared for all kinds of weather. We will lend you wetsuits, buoyancy aids and spray tops if required (or you are welcome to wear your own if you have them). You will need:
