Conditions Of Membership

Membership Conditions

• Minimum Term: Membership requires a minimum commitment of 1 year.
• Club Rules: Members must follow all club rules and the RYA Racing Charter.
• Powerboat Requirement: Powerboat Level 2 is required to helm powerboats. Sailing members must hold this qualification.
• Rescue Duties:
  • Sailing members: minimum 2 duties per year
  • Paddle/Winter members: minimum 1 duty per year
• Insurance: Members must ensure all boats are properly insured.
• Boat Storage: All privately owned boats must have a valid membership and paid storage.
• Water Regulations: Severn Trent Water rules must be followed at all times.
• Responsibility: Owners/skippers are fully responsible for safety and decisions on the water.
• Paddle Competency: Paddle members must be competent to Club Paddler level.
• Juniors: Must be supervised by a responsible adult unless under instruction.
• Payment Terms:
  • Monthly Direct Debits assume full-year membership
  • Repeated early cancellations may restrict monthly payment options
  • Unpaid balances suspend membership
• Changes: Contact the club to change membership details.
