Why should I become a member?
Membership provides access to the on-site facilities, the boat park, the reservoir, and the racing programme at the times specified in the calendar.
What does my membership cover?
Basic membership grants access to the water for your chosen watersport. You will be expected to have your own craft, however, club equipment can be booked via our training partners Andrew Simpson Centre Birmingham.
Sailing membership covers sailing dinghies, windsurfs and paddle sports (induction required)
Paddle membership covers Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and kayaking

Can I Stand-up paddle board as a sailing member?
Yes, but you need to book on an induction course with Bartley SUP before taking to the water to ensure you do so safely
What are the conditions of membership?
Upon joining the club, you will be required to book onto a power boat level 2 course with Andrew Simpson Centre Birmingham at a 'club member discount rate' and conduct 2 rescue duties per year (sailing membership) or 1 duty per year (paddle membership). Rescue duties are scheduled and can then be swapped with other members using the website system if you can't attend the allocated date.
Members are required to abide by the club rules and the RYA racing charter.
