Bartley Beast Round 3

Round 3 of the Beast was a much calmer affair with light airs and critical tactics. Some sailors can just sniff out the breeze and intuitively predict the shifts. Well done to winners Tom Gillard / Rachel Gray (Merlin) and Sam Knight (Supernova). Loads of pics on the FB page. This is also the first time the Beast attracted more double handers than single (25 vs 23) - great to see all those spinnakers on the downwind legs!

Sam Knight delivered a reflective speech of thanks at the prize giving as he moves to a new life on the South Coast and some excellent sea sailing right on the door step. We will miss him at Bartley but sure we will catch up at a few open meetings throughout the year! Best of luck to Sam and the family, enjoy the next step of the journey.
