A busy Saturday on the water!

It was a busy Saturday!

The Fire Brigade attended in large numbers to practice flood recovery and powerboat drills which gave the club a general 'accident and emergency' feel with Ambulances and fire trucks filling the car park! It is great that we can support our emergency services in this way and their activity went very smoothly.

Birmingham Uni were back on site with the general whistles and shouts accompanying the match racing Fireflies. Great to have the students back at the club enjoying the lively conditions.

The new Saturday race series started with no problems that couldn't be overcome on the day! The wind was strong, the sun was out, and the courses were great - what better way to start the new programme.

We were missing a few Supernovas and lasers though - congratulations to Steve Hawley for winning at Ogston with Mike Gibson a strong second, and to John Ling for his win at Chelmarsh.
