Terms and Conditions Agreement (GDPR)

Bartley Sailing Club stores your personal information to allow us to communicate with you and provide services for you. As information is stored on a website and personal computers it is subject to the GDPR regulations.
The club holds sensitive information of personal details, and non sensitive information regarding boat and dinghy park information. Different security measures are appropriate to these categories.
Sensitive Information:
- Name
- Address
- Contact telephone and email
- Gender
- Bank or payment card details
- Names/ages of family or junior members
- Company Director
- Fees payable
Typical Non Sensitive Information:
- Name to index the information
- Boat space
- Joining date
- Any qualifications, or courses completed
- Instructor - qualification
- Present or past official in the club
- Boat class, paddle board or social membership.
- Duty rota proposed dates, any issues, and attendance history
- Type of duty normally performed
- Racing results
- Attendance at open meetings
- Expertise fencing, boat repairs
Sensitive information will be held by the club for current membership, but will be deleted within a year of leaving the club. Non sensitive information may be held on multiple computers and cannot easily be deleted.
Any revision to this document will be posted on the noticeboard for three months, and can be inspected on the website. Should a change be made to the sensitive information being held, a review of the document will be required by the website.
The club will never sell your information and will take all reasonable measures to protect it. The information is however held and accessed via the internet, and so cannot be 100% secure. The program used by the club has been purchased, but the club cannot review its internal security.
