Welcome to Bartley...

Bartley Sailing Club is an RYA-approved watersports centre for beginners and experienced sailors alike. Conveniently located in the Bartley Green area of Birmingham, the site offers superb views over rolling hills to the West.

We have active fleets in RS400, Merlin Rocket, Phantom, Solo, Supernova, Laser and Mirror classes, with many other types of sailing dinghies also represented in our handicap fleet. We also welcome windsurfers and canoeists - our water is a packed and lively place to be!

Bartley Sailing club is always keen to welcome new members, both those wishing to learn for the first time or more experienced sailors keen to join in our racing programme. Windsurfers and canoeists are also very welcome.

Friendly, fun...and very competitive...

Bartley has great facilities on and off the water. Our purpose-built club house is equipped with showers, changing facilities, plenty of parking on site and a secure boat park for members.

After a hard day on the water, our professionally operated catering services provide a range of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks and there is a fully-licenced bar, at which you will find Bartley's members discussing the cut and thrust of the day's racing!

Bartley welcomes experienced, competitive sailors; families looking for a shared hobby; complete beginners and everyone in-between. To make sure everyone feels welcome we have a wide range of events, like competitive open meetings on the class circuits.

Learning to sail or looking to perfect your technique?

Bartley Sailing Club has an enthusiastic team of experienced sailors who teach a wide variety of sailing skills. There is a dedicated training room and a fleet of easy-to-handle dinghies in which to master basic skills.

The core training that the club offers is RYA Level 1&2 Courses (Start Sailing and Basic Skills). This course takes students from being a total beginner to being able to rig, launch and sail a boat in light-moderate winds. The club also regularly hosts training sessions for more experienced sailors of the many classes sailing at Bartley.

Whatever your skill, whatever your passion...come indulge it and experience the adrenalin, when you sail at Bartley!
