Just to keep you up to speed on events past and present...

Firstly - just to add to the Supernova Nationals success, Bartley won the Club prize for the event. Well done team!

Last weekend was the Laser Masters Nationals at Torbay Yacht club with 3 days of lightwind sailing for the over 35s. Ollie Ridgeway went along and achieved a great 24th position in the 50 strong fleet - a fantastic result for his first trip to the event.

This week it is the Salcombe Merlin week. If you are tired of watching Wimbledon why not cheer on the Bartley boats as the Merlin Class association and Salcombe Yacht Club live stream the races (or you can catch up on day one of the races too)

For the travelling Bartley Juniors the next RYA Midland Junior sereis event is at Staunton Harold on 20th July. I will be taking Megan and Millie and it would be great if other juniors could travel too - 5 races of about 30 mins each. Bartley are on track for the team prize so lets keep the momentum.

Finally - well done to George Fereday who sails at Bartley on a Tuesday evening for winning the Notts County Laser Open with 3 firsts and a 3rd - a text book display. (I managed the Old man's prize by clinging on to his coat tails)

Hope you are all enjoying your water sports - with the holiday season approaching keep me updated on any achievements at the club or further afield and I will post them. Remember K2O continues through the holidays for the junior section, Tuesday racing and Wednesday improvers sessions are great therapy during the week, and Sunday is a lovely day for messing about on the water - enjoy!
